Paradise Farm starring Shim Chang Min and Lee Yeon Hee

Old love dies hard and young love never dies in this delightful romance starring Lee Yeon Hee and Shim Chang Min. Lee Yeon Hee, breakout star of East of Eden, brings her luminous presence to this drama about a couple who were once married and can't seem to get over each other even years later.

Chang Min of top Kpop band TVXQ makes his acting debut as her sometime husband, while breakout stars Joo Sang Wook and Yoo Ha Na (of Giant and The Sons of Sol Pharmacy House, respectively) also star. Filmed on beautiful Jeju Island, this is a refreshing, energy-infused romance not to be missed.

Han Dong-Joo (Shim Chang-Min) is the son of a a wealthy owner and heir to a corporation. When he meets bubbly, beautiful Da Ji while visting Jeju Island, he falls instantly in love. Da Ji is equally drawn to him, and the two, both nineteen, impulsively get married. They inevitably divorce soon after, but six years later, Dong Joo returns to Jeju and finds Da Ji there. She has moved into their old home and is trying to rejuvenate the ranch. Seo Yoon-Ho (Joo Sang Wook), the president of a resort, has fallen for her and is trying to help her. Dong Joo, intensely competitive, immediately beings to interfere, but there may be something deeper than petty jealousy springing up in the sparks between the separated couple.

... do so many K-drama writers/directors insist on creating ditzy annoying characters like the lead female character in this drama?!?! Who could buy that this was a 25 year old young woman who had been married (even briefly) and divorced? Give me a break... her behavior could barely pass for a 15 or 16 year old. Her 18/19 year old younger sister thought and acted way more maturely than she did. I don't know if they think that this is a portrayal of innoncence, but it's just making young Korean women out to be simple minded and ditzy, and watching young women portrayed in this way is just seriously annoying.

I just finished the first episode. I enjoyed it which is unique in itself because with most k-drama it takes me up to 3-5 episodes before I am into it. I see a lot of negative and positive ratings but I liked what the positive ratings described so I am keep watching and hope it does not become the reverse of most of my k-drama viewing where you begining with the drama begins with so so episodes and progress into better one. So far I like the acting, they do not appear too frozen like many k-drama which I have come to accept and not mind or hold against the drama or actor because it might be cultural.

the actors weren't bad n changmin was a little awkward but the story was TERRIBLE! i skimmed a most of the episodes and only watched the good one. It dragged one most of the time. I wouldn't watch it, big waste of time, put tooeach their own....

There's a really good reason why this K-drama was stuck on a shelf for over a year before being released. Watch it - it'll become really apparent, really fast. Inane plot, sad characterizations and just foolishness abounding. Your racehorse refuses to move? Tell him you'll let him escape from this turkey - he'll run like his tail's on fire. Your leading lady looks like she fought a battle with a weed-whacker and lost? Hand her a hairbrush and a decent outfit. Seriously, other than nice JeJu scenery, this drama should be ashamed of itself for escaping from that dusty shelf. Avoid.

Stiff acting, nonsensical plot and ending. Plus lead actress' outfits were the worst things I have ever seen in a kdrama. Changmin should stick to his role as a manufactured idol. Don't bother with this mess of a drama. The second male lead is the only good thing about this drama.

Max changmin. Honestly, I found his character.....how do I say this........AWKWARD?.. yEAH, I found his acting awkward. Every time I watch an episode, I can't help it but be bothered by his teary? eyes. I just can't concentrate on how he is acting. Also a typical story.
